I’m 39 years old, married, I have five children, four of them biological and one adopted. Their ages are 21, 19, 9, 8 y 3 years old.When I was thirty-seven the medics detected me Hormonal cancer which is a very cruel and strange cancer. This one affected me starting with my left breast, reason why they practiced me a mastectomy and I was receiving chemotherapy treatment every 15 days and also six weeks of radiation therapy daily; that represented a very hard cost for my family because each session of chemotherapy cost $1,500 plus the radiation therapy an amount of $17,900. We could get this money with loans. We haven’t got resources enough to support it and my husband it hasn’t an established job.
A month ago I went to my monthly check up and the news weren’t positive… because they informed me that the cancer also invaded my left lung and my throat.

My older sons are the ones who pay all the bills in home working very hard.
God is so awesome because with the help of the Cancer institution of Guatemala I could receive a 50% less than the original cost. Sadly in this new treatment the hospital can’t help me because there are many people in the stay list.
To maintain my life I need to restart the Chemotherapy treatment with thirty-six more sessions, and at the moment only private institutions can give me this service because of the type of cancer that I have.
The medicine is very delicate and I need this treatment as soon as possible. The cost of this new treatment is around $11,500.00; we have not this founds because from the previous one we still owing a lot of money.
One of my dreams is to see all my kids growing my little Kristell it’s just three! I pray to God that gives me a couple of years more to see her grow. It is a very hard anxiety to realize that we owe so much money, and the banks don’t allowed us to make a new loan because of my bad record.
